“If they are sensible, they will not create new tension, but we, as military forces, are considering the worst scenarios,” Major General Yahya Rahim-Safavi, who is also the senior advisor of the Supreme Leader, said in an interview with Al-Alam News Network on Wednesday.
He also said, “We have ratified scenarios for any conditions and any scenario that they might have developed against us.
“We have deliberated about the ways to deal with them and about offensive operations against them. We even have planned operations in order to deal an unbelievably more powerful blow to them if they seek to harm us.”
They are not well-informed about the IRGC’s real power, he said.
He went on to say that Americans are vulnerable in the Persian Gulf region and the sea is a “minefield” for them.
“If they explode it, the world economy will be thrown in turmoil,” he said.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran is seeking to bring calm and security to the region, and will not start any war, but will make the initiator of the war regret,” the general added.
Commenting on the recent Israel’s threats of military action on Iran, Rahim-Safavi said they are well aware that if they wage a war on the Islamic Republic, missiles and rockets from Iran and south Lebanon will be targeted at them.
“They are within range of Katyusha rockets of our friends in Lebanon’s Hezbollah,” he said.
“Our missiles can cover all the occupied Palestinian territories and there is no point out of range of and no limit on the number of our missiles,” he stated.
Their missile defense shields, which have been set up in certain regional countries to protect the Zionist regime, cannot intercept a barrage of Iran’s missiles, he said.
Americans forced to respond to IRGC radio message
Elsewhere in his remarks, he said that all U.S. warships that intend to pass through the Strait of Hormuz must respond to IRGC radio messages.
He also said that IRGC naval forces have recently sent a radio message to a U.S. aircraft carrier that intended to go through the strait and requested it to declare its number and destination, but it refused to respond to the message.
The aircraft carrier responded to the message immediately after it learned that IRGC speedboats were ordered to go to its whereabouts, he added.
